Chop chop! 💇🏻‍♂️ Back to my 2000s buzz cut. Brings back memories of the period when I lived in Italy & moved back to NYC. I have since learned so much: prioritize what it is important and forget the rest; savor your achievements; be thankful and cherish what you have and who is in your life; be more compassionate; identify distortions in your thoughts/beliefs that aren’t factual; stay curious, be mindful and keep learning; and help others do the same. All the more important during these times.

Lockdown silver lining, ❤️ exploring making spicy rustic Hunanese, Sichuanese & Taiwanese dishes: grilled lamb ribs coated with cumin, chili flakes, scallion & coriander; a dan dan noodle recipe from a Chengdu noodle shop with ground beef & sesame paste and my adaptation, curly edged knife cut noodles; stir-fried “fly’s head” (ground pork, chive blossoms & fermented black beans); smoked pressed tofu w/ garlic chive blossoms; addictive lotus root w/ sichuan peppercorns; & deceptively simple gingery dry fried chopped choi sum.

Mira, with its twisting corkscrew geometric modular facade sticks out from the crowd...a super quiet downtown & financial district means I can bike around & take in the architecture

Some people visit the High Line or the trendy Vessel. Instead, when I get to NY, I run to my fave barbers in the world...Danny & Dr. Mike w/ their thick & heavy NY accents. Perfectionists & good guys too 😃 #latergram
